Live steam boats are always a big attraction, probably because there are so few of them in current use compared to regular electric powered scale model boats.
Steamboats are obviously more complicated to build and run, so best to do some research into marine engines, boilers and all the ancillary equipment needed. Several companies in the UK build marine steam engines for sale either ready built or as a machined kit ready for assembly. An example is Chiltern Model Steam
